Beaufort, SC rental booking tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the best value, try shifting your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Some owners offer rate reductions for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Planning and picking a perfectrental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 9 Periwinkle - A Nature Lovers Dream - Golf Cart Included - Cards N\/A has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. text the host immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
