This downtown Beaufort, SC home was constructed in 1875. It has been sensitively restored so that you feel like you're stepping back in time but with modern amenities. Located in a park-like setting with impressive flower gardens, it's super convenient. Located in the heart of the historic district, you can walk to award-winning eateries, cute bars (Old Bull Tavern is two blocks away), Waterfront Park, shopping, art galleries, the gourmet grocer, and all wedding venues. Spanish Moss cycling and pedestrian walking trail is less than a mile away. Start your morning with coffee and country ham biscuits on the first-floor veranda, watch the horse drawn carriages pass by, and appreciate meeting friendly locals out for a walk. In the evenings, step out on the second-floor veranda, savor a toddy, the sounds of birds, and glimpse the moon rising over Beaufort. Given the age of this home, it is not a suitable venue for kids under the age of 13. The inside staircase is original to the home, is steep, and not suitable for people who are fall risks. Veteran owned.

Our top Beaufort, SC vacation rental booking tips:

When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental home & When to go:

  • Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the best vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking a perfectvacation home:

  • Select vacation dates and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Charming Historic Home. 5 Star Location. has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property manager before you reserve the property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, SC beach you long to visit, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
