We've remodeled our mid-century church into a cavernous and comfortable vacation rental. The Chapel on Waight exemplifies all that we appreciate about Beaufort –laid back yet luxe, close to everything but still peaceful, and central: the Chapel is a few blocks from the Beaufort River on a tree-lined street in a peaceful residential neighborhood. Walk or ride our beach cruisers into town past impressive antebellum mansions along handsome waterfront Bay street. The Chapel is less than a mile from the downtown waterfront park- the center of everything -cafes, stores, magnificent eateries, bars and our extraordinary historical district. 4 short blocks in the other direction puts you on the Spanish Moss Trail, ideal for walking, running, and cycling.
If you're in town for a Marine Graduation, an simple 6 mile drive down Ribaut road puts you at the gates of Parris Island. We are 17 miles from handsome Hunting Island State park and provide our guests with a complimentary pass, beach chairs, beach towels, body boards, beach toys and a beach umbrella. An hour south and you are in downtown Savannah, an hour and a half north puts you in beautiful Charleston. Beaufort is the ideal hub for day tripping!
The building was a church, so the main room is huge, open and airy-tons of light filters through the original pebbled glass windows. It's laid out as follows:
THE MAIN ROOM is comprised of the Living/Dining/Kitchen areas, all open to each other and ideal for hanging out together. The dining area seats 6, a counter level bar seats 2, there is a a widescreen 42"LG Intelligent TV and high speed internet. KITCHEN : entirely outfitted, open and painless to maintain stainless steel countertops and appliances, coffee and tea bar, new cookware, silverware, dishwasher, a toaster, blender, and microwave... everything you need to prepare full meals at home.

THE QUEEN BEDROOM: generously sized, with a semi-private curtained-off sleeping nook with a single bed for an additional guest or kid. The Queen room also has an en-suite bathroom and private access onto the side screened porch.
FOURTH BED is a comfortable living living room couch that sleeps one. All linens are supplied.
LAUNDRY ROOM : Guests have access to washer, dryer, laundry supplies, iron, and ironing board.

Finding the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the best value, consider changing your family's Beaufort, SC vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in Beaufort:
- Select vacation week and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Historic Beaufort- downtown beautifully renovated chapel -pet friendly!\n has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation.
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More tips for your visit:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- During arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
