Rental property booking tips:
Sticking to a rental budget:
- Summertime is high season in Fripp Island. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
- Some owners offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides contain discounts for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Choosing and booking the right Beaufort, SC rental:
- Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Pets Considered, Community Pool, Lagoon View, Golf Cart Included 875 Salt Cedar Lane has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property owner before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is right for your group.
- If there's an individual Beaufort, SC beach you are enamored with, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
Know before you go:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Upon arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of issues.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
