Tips and Tricks to get the optimal rental experience:
When to book a Beaufort, SC rental home & When to go:
- Summertime is high season in Fripp Island. To find the largest vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Beaufort, SC restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. 180 Beach Club Villa - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
Tips for a great stay:
- Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the property manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
