Our top Rental home tips and tricks:
When to book & When to go:
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- To find the best value, consider changing your family's Beaufort, SC vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
