Finding the best Fripp Island vacation rental experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to pick the perfect vacation rental:
- Start by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. 31 Veranda Beach - Three Bedroom House, Sleeps 7 has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what is right for your vacation group.
- If there's a specific Beaufort, SC beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
Advice for a great stay:
- Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a great vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
