Tips to get the perfect vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- To find the most suitable rental for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and picking yourrental home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 860 Sabal Ct - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible online. If not, call the property management company before booking the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your phone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
