How to book the best Beaufort vacation rental experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, selecting, and booking the best Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Choose dates and max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Bungalow in the Historic District-walking distance to downtown & the waterfront! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental
Have a wonderful stay:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of problems.
- Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
