Booking the best Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:
When to visit Beaufort & When to reserve a Beaufort rental home:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the largest vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides have coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Planning, picking, and booking a perfectrental home:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. Peaceful Beaufort guest house, perfect for couples or families has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs applied to your agreement.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC destination you are crazy about, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- During check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
