Tips and Tricks to get the optimal Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the largest rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Beaufort, SC attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have deals for local accommodations and attractions.
