Booking the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • To get the best value, try changing your family's Beaufort, SC vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the right Beaufort, SC rental home:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Lovely, Modern First Floor Condo with an OCEAN VIEW! Resort Access Included! Golf Cart Included! has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before booking the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, SC attraction you are crazy about, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
