Strategies for getting the best rental experience:

Finding your best deal:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Port Royal. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning, selecting, and booking your prefectrental:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your trip dates, and select a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Discounted Rates! 2 miles to Parris Island and close to Sands Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before you reserve your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, SC attraction you simply love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. Speak to the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
