West End is one of the best locations in Beaufort--You're only 15-20 min. walk to downtown and ~5 min. walk to the Spanish Moss Trail. The neighborhood is peaceful with older cottages and new builds in the area. A great area to ride bicycles and discover the area.

You can fit two cars in the driveway. Please do not park on the stepping stones or in the yard. Uber/Lyft can be tough but there are local taxi companies you can reach out to if needed. A bicycle would be ideal for the area too.
- If there’s an issue or something breaks, just let us know as soon as it happens. We are much more lenient if you do so.
- Keep noise to a minimum after 9 pm. There is a noise ordinance between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am.
- Any type of event must be approved beforehand (typically not an issue, we just like to know). Also, enormous gatherings, such as weddings and get-togethers, are prohibited unless specifically approved by the City.
- No family pets allowed. If there is a pet on premise, you will be charged $300 minimum.
- No smoking inside or you will be charged $300. It’s complimentary to smoke outside.

Strategies for getting the perfect vacation home experience:

Get the best value:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking the right Beaufort, SC vacation home:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Downtown Bungalow by Spanish Moss Trail has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property owner before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, SC beach you love, look for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
