How to book the best Fripp Island rental experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation home in Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Choosing and booking a perfectrental:
- Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. FRIPP ISLAND\/Hot tub overlooking lake\/ Community Pool\/6 Seater Golf Cart\/Cards available-275 Deer Lake has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is suitable for your trip.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Beaufort, SC attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your family vacation.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
