How to book the best Fripp Island vacation rental experience:
Find your best deal:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the largest rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, SC attractions.
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Often, management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose and book your Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. FrippinFun - Three Bedroom House, Sleeps 8 has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. If not, contact the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a certain Beaufort, SC destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
More considerations:
- Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
