Beaufort, SC rental home booking tips and tricks:
When to go & When to book:
- June, July, and August are high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Reserve your Beaufort, SC rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Make a plan and pick the perfectvacation home:
- Choose vacation week and budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. 871 Bonito - Marsh & Canal Views has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible online. If not, call the property owner before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is suitable for your group.
- Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
