Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation property experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserve your Beaufort, SC rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
How to choose and book the best Beaufort, SC rental:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 170 Ocean Creek - Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available online. If you don't see them listed, email the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your family.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- Add the owner's contact info to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- During arrival, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
