Tips to get the very best Beaufort, SC rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, SC area. Reserve your vacation in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book your prefectrental:
- First and foremost, have your family choose a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. USMC Suite 10 MCRD Parris Island has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC vacation rental search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before reserving the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your family.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
During your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent lots of difficulties.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
