Vacation rental home tips:

Sticking to your spending budget:

  • Summer months are high season in Fripp Island. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the best vacation rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Great central location. Walk to everything. Book Summer 2024 now! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, SC beach you love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, note any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
