- Property managers usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Selecting the perfect vacation rental in the Beaufort, SC area:
- First, have your family agree to dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Marsh Haven - Beautiful marsh view, center island, walk to the beach has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before reserving your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your vacation.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Have a fantastic stay:
- We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
