Tips to get the best Fripp Island vacation rental experience:
Get the most from your rental home budget:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Fripp Island. To get the best vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Selecting and booking a perfectrental:
- First and foremost, have your family agree to a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Marsh view double decker ultimate privacy off the main paths. has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners charge additional pet fees.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. text the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many difficulties.
- Be respectful. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
