Strategies to get the perfect rental home experience:
Finding your perfect rental home:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and picking the perfectrental:
- Choose your vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. New Listing - Marshview, Pet Friendly, Golf Cart Included - 803 Sea Bass has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, call the host before you reserve the home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation.
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a certain Beaufort, SC destination you are crazy about, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
Have a great stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the host immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
