Tips to get the optimal Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
How to get the best rental value:
- The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Summer is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

- Begin by selecting your a vacation week and a max budget.

- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your group.

- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
More considerations:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
