Strategies for getting the perfect Fripp Island rental home experience:

Find your best deal:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Fripp Island. To find the best rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select your vacation week and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Pompano Beauty with a View to Die For! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is often available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your family.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, SC destination you simply love, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.

Have a great stay:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas during check in. Contact the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
