Strategies for getting the perfect Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides have coupons for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Narrow your Search:
- Choose vacation week and budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Pompano Beauty with a View to Die For! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is often accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
- Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
- Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your quiet neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
