Finding the best Fripp Island rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Summertime is high season in Fripp Island. Booking in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. The Seashelle is a New Four Bedroom, Four ½ Bath home with a Pool. has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is right for your group.
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
