Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect vacation property experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation rental in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of problems.
- Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
