Tips to get the optimal rental experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To find the best value, shift your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, picking, and booking the perfect Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 23 Davis Love - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before reserving your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is right for your vacation group.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
- If there's a certain Beaufort, SC attraction you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
- Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
