Strategies to get the optimal rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- To find the best rental within your budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to choose and book your Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Best location on the island - 339 Captain John Fripp Villa has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is right for your group.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
