Booking the best Fripp Island rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Fripp Island. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose the perfect vacation rental:

  • Select vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Ocean Front Captain John Fripp Viilas - Awesome Ocean Views!!! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the host before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your trip.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Call the host right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
