Strategies for getting the best rental home experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Book your vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, picking, and booking the perfect Beaufort, SC rental home:
- First and foremost, have your group choose vacation dates and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 377 Tarpon Blvd - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property management company before you book the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the host's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the host immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- Double-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
