Fripp Island rental booking tips:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Beaufort, SC area. To get the best value, try changing your family's Beaufort, SC vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Start by having your group select vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Renovated,Water View,Golf Cart,Club Cards Avail has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before reserving the home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish which bed configuration is suitable for your trip.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, SC destination you long to visit, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you will need a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
