Tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental home & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is high season in Beaufort. To find the best rental home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and choosing your prefect Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Select vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Historic Beaufort, South Carolina Near Hilton Head, SC, New Renovation, Sleeps 8 has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often available online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Beaufort, SC attraction you crave, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
