Tricks and tips to get the optimal Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- To get the largest rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose dates and budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 726 Seahorse Road - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If not, email the host before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If there's an individual Beaufort, SC destination you simply love, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
More considerations:
- We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. Contact the rental manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
- At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
