Footprints in the Sand features the best of both, marvelous ocean vistas in the front of the home along with extraordinary expansive vistas of the Ocean Point Golf Course behind the home. Guests consistently rate Footprints with 5-stars and most say it is the finest vacation rental home they've ever experienced and that Footprints "Feels like home". The housekeeping team ensures the home is pristine upon your arrival.

I designed and constructed the home to include every feature I felt was missing in a vacation rental. All rooms have vistas of the ocean and either access to a private balcony or the huge Southern porches. The main floor has an exceptional open floor plan with a sizable family room, half bath off the entry, open dining area and enormous master bedroom and ensuite master bath. The roomy and well-equipped kitchen is designed for huge family gatherings with tons of counter space for helpers, double stainless steel ovens, dedicated ice machine, French door refrigerator and an additional tall mini refrigerator for overflow groceries. Chefs adore the kitchen and a Weber grille is also available for outdoor cooking! The Master is upgraded with Posturepedic linens, high quality sheets, hypo-allergenic pillows and flat screen t.v.,. The humongous ensuite bath has an ADA seamless tile shower, soaker tub and a nice walk-in closet.

A golf cart along with four high quality adult cruiser bicycles (plus bicycles for the kiddies), nice quality beach chairs, beach wagon, beach toys and high quality beach towels all come complimentary with your rental. If your stay is seven nights or longer, two weekly luxury cards are included. Additional cards can be purchased through me, unlike other Hosts on the Island. The new owners of Fripp Island have added a mandatory 12.8% fee ( of the base rental rate only) for ALL PROPERTIES on the island.

The new exercise center is open and our beach access is less than a 2 min. walk to the best beach access on the island with an simple ramp (not a long boardwalk) for strollers and walkers! Don't be fooled by busy "center island" or Tarpon locations, with no room to spread out and no beach at high tide. All pools are less than a 5 min. golf cart ride and faster by car.

If you need to work remotely and we hope you don't....but if you do...... there's a dedicated desk in the upstairs loft also with exceptional vistas while you work.

Times are stressful and Footprints in the Sand is the ideal place to get away, relax and detox on this private island we call "Heaven"! We strive to ensure your safety and housekeeping adheres to CDC guidelines for cleaning and all duct work has been cleaned and sanitized for added comfort!

Footprints in the Sand is a professionally designed and decorated 5-star rated home by over 70 guests with marvelous beach and wildlife vistas! House is designed with hotel quality floors, quartz counter tops/sinks/faucets in kitchen and all baths, new fireplace surround, freshly painted etc. Savor our close beach access to go back and forth to the home when you're at the beach! I LOVE the beach, but hate packing the "stuff" for a great vacation. No worries, we provide toiletries like a hotel, hair dryer in each bath, all linens, a golf cart, beach chairs, beach towels, beach wagon and bicycles for all ages! Exploring the island in our golf cart or on the excellent bicycle paths makes for the ideal vacation. What better way to get away!

Our Property Manager and Housekeeper are top-notch and use CDC recommended anti-bacteria products to keep Footprints sanitized and clean! To assist in contact complimentary amenities cards, our property manager even delivers your luxury cards prior to your arrival at no additional charge and is available and responsive during your stay. - Across the street from the ocean, the first floor offers an inviting open plan ideal for family gatherings...with kitchen overlooking dining room and family room. Dining area opens onto back deck overlooking the golf course! Master is on the main floor, is handicap accessible and features an broad bath with ocean vistas.

- Family room equipped with 56" flat screen tv, has 30'ceilings with enormous 2-story bay windows that look out to the 5-star 'Ocean Point' golf course, lagoon and spectacular wildlife! Footprints also sits next to a private lot that has become a bird sanctuary, ideal for you bird watchers!

- No matter where you are on the first floor, you can be a part of the conversation while appreciating the ocean breeze and smelling the Island's scent!

- Lots of places to getaway for peaceful moments and the kids can savor our Game Room equipped with a foosball table, T.V./DVD with hook ups for Play Station, X-box etc. and a giant chalk board wall for the little ones to draw their masterpieces!

- Create fantastic meals while smelling and hearing the ocean through the sizable windows in the kitchen. Kitchen is well-equipped with stainless double ovens, tons of counter space, French door refrigerator and an additional mini refrigerator for added grocery storage!

- Appreciate meals cooked on the Weber grille and served outdoors on the large table (seats 6-8 in addition to another table that seats four) while overlooking the 8th fairway and wildlife!

- Upstairs has four comfortable bedrooms, each with a uniquely appointed beach décor and all bedrooms have flat screen TVs!

- Two bedrooms face the ocean each with Queen beds, their own vanities/toilets and share a Jack and Jill shower. One of the Queen bedrooms has an additional twin bed. Both rooms open to the upper front deck looking onto the Atlantic Ocean where you can also appreciate the sunrise! A twin air bed and pack n' play are available as well.

- The other two bedrooms view the golf course and have two twins in each room and if you'd prefer you have the option to convert the twins to a King! Each room has their own vanity and toilet, share a Jack and Jill shower and supplied with a high quality hair dryer. These bedrooms have their own private balconies to admire the ocean and sunsets as well!

We manage our home like an modren hotel, furnishing all the baths with toiletries, hotel quality towels & linens for total pampering! Our property manager lives close by to ensure everything runs smoothly during your vacation.

'Footprints in the Sand' is a pristine home that is exceptionally decorated with a comfortable beach flair and has been supplied in Fripp Island Resort’s 'Tour of Homes'.

Handicap-friendly with secured WiFi, The yard is ideal for croquet, badminton or volley ball and the kids appreciate to roller blade and ride bicycles in our circular driveway too! One of our recent guests even had her bridal reception in the backyard overlooking the golf course and the sunset!

About the Area

Located in Saint Helena Island, this vacation home is next to a golf course and by the sea. Penn Center and York W. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection.   • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
