How to get the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- To book the most suitable rental within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the perfect vacation home in Fripp Island:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Private Pool\/Steps to the Beach\nNew Remodel\/No Resort Fees has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If not, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
