- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Private Pool\/Steps to the Beach\nNew Remodel\/No Resort Fees has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before reserving the vacation home. - Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
