How to get the best Fripp Island vacation property experience:
Getting the most from your budget:
- The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Fripp Island. Reserve your Beaufort, SC rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to pick the best vacation rental in the Beaufort, SC area:
- To start, have your group agree to the best dates and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Golf cart, bikes, PING PONG, corn hole @ Big Kahuna, pets ok, across from beach has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property management company before you book the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. text the rental manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to stimulate new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
