Our top Vacation rental booking tips:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summertime is high season in Fripp Island. Booking in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Finding the perfect vacation home:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Private, Golf Cart Included, Pets Considered Sea Island Escape has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. Otherwise, email the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, SC beach you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or might be applied to your agreement.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
