Tips and Tricks to get the very best Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Summer is high season in Fripp Island. To book the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Beaufort, SC restaurants and activities.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some owners offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Choosing and booking a perfectrental:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Private, Golf Cart Included, Pets Considered Sea Island Escape has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation family.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, SC attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Know before you go:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
