Tips for getting the perfect rental experience:
When to visit & When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. - Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you book your home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.

Tips for a wonderful stay:
- Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- During arrival, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
