Strategies to get the perfect rental experience:
When to visit Fripp Island & When to book:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserve your rental in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Luxe on the OCEAN w\/ limo cart, firepit, paddle boards, pingpong, bikes, pets ok has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible online. If not, reach out to the host before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
- Are you visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many concerns.
- Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
