When to visit & When to reserve a Fripp Island rental home:

Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation.
- Does your family require specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
Advice for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Upon arrival, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.

- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
