Tricks and tips to get the optimal Beaufort, SC rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To book the most suitable rental home within budget, we suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Beaufort, SC restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guides have deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • To start, have your family choose a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Flash Sale Select Days\/Weeks Oceanfront! Beach at High Tide! Sleeps 11 has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are assessed.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
