Fripp Island vacation rental booking tips and tricks:
Find your perfect rental home:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Summer is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect vacation home:
- First and foremost, have your family choose trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Sandy Feet Retreat - Five Bedroom House, Sleeps 15 has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your group.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
During your stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
