How to book the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Fripp Island. Booking in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the perfect rental:

  • Choose your dates and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. 728 Bonito Road - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Tips to have a fantastic stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the host immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
