Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:
When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:
- Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Make a plan and choose your prefectvacation home:
- First, have your family commit to the best dates and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 796 Marlin Drive - Resort Access Included! Private Pool! has 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your trip.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Call the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
