Strategies to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Beaufort, SC area. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, SC attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Choosing the perfect vacation home in Fripp Island:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. 803 Sea Bass Drive - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, SC beach you love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental.
  • During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
