Strategies to get the best Beaufort, SC rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- To find the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Filter your search:
- Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Beachy Bungalow- walk downtown, close to MCAS, and Parris Island! has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
- Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC beach you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the property manager's information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the rental manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
