Tricks and tips to get the perfect Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose and book the perfect Beaufort, SC rental:
- Start by choosing a vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. CUSTOM HOME 3 BED\/3.5 BATH ON OCEAN PT GOLF COURSE AMENITY CARDS AVAILABLE has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation group.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if a dispute is filed.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to propel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review.
