Strategies for getting the best Beaufort, SC rental experience:
Get the most from your budget:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Reserve your Beaufort, SC vacation in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some property managers offer special rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Start by having your family select a vacation week and a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration you need. 112 Sandpiper Run - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your invoice.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Some things to know before you go:
- Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- During arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
