Rejuvenate in the sea air at FrippNOutrageOus, a completely modernized 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 3rd floor condo overlooking the relaxing salt marsh in the heart of Fripp Island. With handsome expansive marsh and canal vistas from nearly every window and it's mid island location across the street from the beach, it really offers the best of both worlds. Please note that this is a 3rd floor condo and there is no elevator. The spectacular vistas are worth the stairs in our opinion, but we know that stairs are not an option for everybody!

Bring or rent cruiser bicycles to take advantage of the islands bicycle path, or rent a golf cart to discover the impressive island and watch the many deer that wander.

Rental home tips and tricks:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal SC. Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Owners sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in the Beaufort, SC area:
- Select vacation dates and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Gorgeous Marsh Views, Across from the Beach has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is suitable for your group.
- If there's a certain Beaufort, SC destination you are enamored with, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs applied to your agreement.
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your group have a great stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
