How to book the best Beaufort rental experience:
Getting the best value:
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Summer months are high season in Beaufort. Reserve your Beaufort, SC vacation in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.
Narrow your Search:
- Choose dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Historic Bonny Cottage in downtown Beaufort SC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what bed configuration is right for your vacation group.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More considerations:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
- To make certain that damages are not attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Call the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
